I am the H.E.A.L.I.N.G. Coach. I became a certified Life Coach from The Life Coach School after embarking on years of my own healing journey. Throughout my childhood, teenage years, and early adulthood I experienced many forms of trauma that led to physical ailments, an unhealthy relationship with myself and others, mental health struggles, substance abuse, and eventually burnout. After my mom passed away in 2014 right before her 52nd birthday, my whole world changed. Everything that I struggled with became even more amplified and I began to spiral even more.
In the beginning of 2016, I broke my fingers while practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and this is when my healing journey really began. Now this wasn’t just an easy break and reset, this like most of my life prior was much more complicated. My fingers were set wrong twice, the second time for 6 weeks straight. This led to a whole lot of pain, physical therapy twice a week for 7 months and a manipulation surgery. It was at this time that I first started healing my physical body by quitting drinking alcohol, going on a plant-based diet, changing everything I consumed and used to things that were non-toxic, and started my spiritual journey, all to aide the healing of my fingers.
This journey became far greater than aiding in healing my fingers. I realized that there was so much emotional, physical, and spiritual healing to do if I wanted to live a life that wasn’t full of sadness, grief, struggle. This is when I started diving into self-help, reading books, listening to podcasts, going to therapy, and eventually finding life coaching. When I went through therapy, I wrote out a timeline of all of the traumas I had experienced from age 0-21 in 3-year increments. This timeline included emotional abuse, sexual abuse, abandonment, traumatic experiences such as my mom having two mental breakdowns and going to a mental institution, violence in my home, getting evicted multiple times, and many more traumatic experiences. By the time I got to the age of 21, I realized why I was the way I was, but didn’t know how to change. My therapist gave me tips that I had already learned such as journaling, breathing, and meditation, but I still found myself in emotional turmoil and feeling angry and resentful.
At this point I completely burnt out, I had a rash all over my face, and I went to a holistic healer who told me that my body literally did not have the energy to repair itself. This is when the magnitude of everything really set in. Then I found life coaching. Life coaching has been my saving grace. Becoming a certified life coach allowed me to learn how to feel all of my feelings, decide how I want to think about things such as trauma, taught me how to manage my mind, and heal at a root level. This is when I started utilizing what I had learned and practiced myself to help others heal their traumas and life at the root level.
I utilized everything I had learned and implemented in my own life and in my coaching practice to create my H.E.A.L.I.N.G. program and framework to coach others through their own healing journeys. I have been saying that everything that I have experienced in this lifetime is to help others since about the age of 6 years old. At that tender young age I knew there was a reason far greater than I could imagine as to why I had experienced the life I had. Now I know that every experience allows me to help guide others and that every single trauma and hardship has a far greater purpose than my own growth, but to help others heal and grow through their own experiences with less suffering than I have. It is my mission to utilize H.E.A.L.I.N.G. to help change the world, one person at a time.
